The Onion

When I was sketching today, I decided to slice an onion. The complexity inside the onion of the layers within is both delicate and unique, each layer hugging one another in unity. This interested me. 

I have decided to create a series on this blog exploring the onions structure through experimenting with different mediums. This photo from sketchbook shows poster paint, both free-hand painting of the onion and stamping which took me around 5 mins to do. Next up is watercolour!
