Today we experimented with working with black ink. We were given around 10 mins to paint each model in front of us using only black ink. I thoroughly enjoyed this task because the ink is so bold and produced such confident lines it enabled me to complete each painting within the 10 min time limit and is a decisive way of getting down ideas.
At the end we were asked to add two people into each painting to give a sense of scale. I am going to start adding people into my sketches because scale is something is struggle with and don't feel particularly confident doing.
Although each piece may not be particularly obvious to others what exactly it is, I really tried to paint exactly what I was seeing on this exercise, and I feel I did that well.
