Establishing a new series on my blog: 'Finding Faces'- similar to the current weekly alphabet series this series is exactly what it says on the tin... to find faces in anything and everything! So often I find myself seeing expressions within objects, for me they have their own personalities, they are almost like cartoons in my eyes.
To kick start this subjective challenge is my housemates car keys, although they are incredibly battered, and quite frankly I'm impressed that they still serve their purpose within this photograph I see a character looking out at me, with its glasses and its button nose. I also see a bird on the side of the key with a rather large beak and an eye the size of a pin head.
What do you see? And can you see what I see?
Pencil is a media I rarely touch by choice, I find it harder to express landscapes than pen and for that reason shy away from using it at all. I thought I would give coloured pencil a go- I drew Luna, a golden retriever I walk just for pleasure. Although her eyes may be slightly off, I think I have been able to capture the wisdom she looks as though she holds.
